Applications Engineering - Placement Student who will work under the guidance of an experienced Applications Engineer and will be involved with the full range of technical work with customers worldwide for our
Components Business Segment in Huddersfield . During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!
In this role, you will
make an impact in the following ways: -
Turbocharger specification, matching to engines and working with cross functional new product introduction teams, with project work based on the challenging activities with customers;

Liaising with other technical and non-technical areas within Cummins Turbo Technologies, and customers;

Working with customers autonomously to produce detailed specifications for new products;

Sourcing information, interpreting, developing and implementing solutions to agreed deadlines;
-
Supporting the department on key projects/initiatives, supporting team members and working both independently and within globally spread teams;
-
Embracing the Cummins Vision, Mission and Values.
To be successful in this role
you will need the following: -
We are looking for a wide range of applicants studying towards a Bachelor or Master's degree from across STEM-related subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and not graduating this academic year;

Excellent interpersonal (written and spoken), team player, organisational and time management skills;

Ambition, flexibility and confidence coupled with creativity, imagination and a desire to learn and take on responsibility;

Good knowledge of MS Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
