Buyer - Hot Beverages (12m FTC)

This is a wonderful opportunity for a Buyer to join the NHS Supply Chain team as a Hot Beverages and Vending Buyer for 12 months on a Fixed term contract at Foodbuy!

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly versatile category, the successful Buyer will be getting involved with the day to day running of the category.

Working in a busy team, we are looking to welcome Buyers with relatable experience who are keen to really make a difference. You will play an instrumental part to this category and in return you will be given all the tools to grow and develop your career with Foodbuy!

Foodbuy were awarded the contract to procure food for the NHS in 2018 and we now have a dedicated team in place to focus on public sector procurement and delivering the requirements and ultimately savings for the NHS, which has been particularly amazing throughout 2020 with the Covid19 Pandemic.

The successful Buyer will also be responsible for (and not limited to):

• Developing and implementing market leading and innovation category strategies which will drive savings for the NHS
• To deliver a valuable service to the client, as well as ensuring growth to the supplier partners through engagement and performance management
• Have an active part in all elements of the tendering process, from identifying opportunities and collecting and analysing data and work proactively with data
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and clients - ensuring effective working relationships are built

The successful Category Buyer will have the following skillset:

• Proven ability to plan and executive in a timely manner
• Good commercial acumen to prioritise that will enable you to produce work in a timely manner
• High energy and positive attitude towards work
• Ability to develop and grow strong business relationships
• Financial acumen
• Strong spreadsheet skills
• Proven ability to work towards targets
• Experience and passion for Buying in the food sector
