They are recruiting for an Accountant/Bookkeeper for four days a week on a permanent basis. The role has flexibility to work partly from home and partly from the office in Farnham
As the Accountant/Bookkeeper you will be responsible for
Manage the 'Office' Accounting function for the company using Sage50 Accounting software and a manual cash book
Process all Sales and Purchase invoices
Process all Sales and Purchase receipts and payments
Process bank receipts and payments
All Day to Day bookkeeping to Trial Balance
Perform monthly bank reconciliation
Calculate monthly staff commission payments
Prepare monthly payroll and process via accountants
Complete PAYE returns in liaison with accountants
Complete quarterly VAT returns
Cash flow management with Managing Director
Liaise with Office managers re Credit control and other day to day accounting issues
Process monthly expenses
Liaise with Accountants re Company annual audit
The below responsibilities are covered by another member of the team but you will be overseeing these and covering for them if on holiday or sick
Oversee the 'Client' Accounting function for the company via Expert Agent software
Cover for Client Accountant holidays/sick leave etc
Working knowledge of Client Accounting software
Complete Quarterly and Annual non resident landlord HMRC returns
Complete other HMRC statutory returns as required
Maintenance of Property Management software
Liaise with Lettings Managers and Property Managers
Liaise with Accountants re Client Account annual audit
Experienced Bookkeeper or Accountant with relevant knowledge of general accounting
Organised, efficient, accurate & with an honest and conscientious approach
Strong communication skills both verbal and written with an eye for detail
Experience of using Sage accounting software desirable together with good general IT skills (Excel/Word)
Desirable but not essential - Client Accounting, preferably from an estate agency or legal background
Desirable but not essential - Knowledge of Client Accounting software and processes
