Senior UI Designer eCommerce
We are looking for a UI Designer who wants to work at the forefront of digital design for eCommerce, working within a cross-functional creative team to design interfaces which improve user experience and ultimately increase conversion.
This role is ideal for a brilliant designer and communicator who is passionate about eCommerce. We’ll need you to think conceptually, lead the execution of online visual identity, work efficiently and utilise best practices for conversion-led design for transactional websites.
Being a UI Designer at Wunderman Thompson Commerce:
You know how to design pixel-perfect responsive interfaces for key clients, ensuring that you meet both user and business needs. You will have an understanding of user-centred design best practices, conversion design and accessibility principles.
You’ll also have experience working with design systems and pattern/component libraries contributing to a consistent, scalable design language.
Your work will be of the highest standard, impress clients, and resonate within the eCommerce landscape.
You’ll be hands-on and willing to work in a fast-paced, ever-moving environment that is currently fully remote. You’ll keep up-to-date with the latest advances in technology, design trends, software, and eCommerce best practices.
You’ll be able to communicate your design ideas and solutions to clients and other members of the team in a positive way, whilst confidently defending your design decisions.
You’ll set up your design files with care, naming your files, folders, and layers appropriately and creating components where needed, so that others who encounter your work can move efficiently through it.
You’ll understand the importance of ensuring quality from design-to-dev, and will shore up developed UI designs by checking in with devs and reviewing dev work throughout the project timeline(s).
