Apply for this jobStonegate Pubs are recruiting into our Finance Team – we are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant. As part of a team responsible for financial accounting and/or reporting various parts of the business you’ll be responsible for ensuring that the financial record accurately reflect the results of the Group and subsidiaries, whilst producing accurate reporting for period end, management accounts and statutory accounts.
As an Assistant Management Accountant you’ll need to have excellent or advanced Excel Skills, some experience with Coda or Navision and a desire to use your Accounting studies in a complex business. Responsibilities within the team may be rotated to ensure that job holders have a broad range of knowledge of the accounting and the business.
Some of the tasks the Assistant Management Accountant will be involved with include:
Assisting with the timely and accurate production of monthly management accounts, through taking control of various P&L lines with supporting schedules and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
Ensuring that all accounting journals are calculated accurately and correctly in line with Group policies and accounting standards - including accruals, prepayments, department/cost centre reporting and classification.
Ensuring the correct P&L (income and costs), BS and cash flow accounting for all transactions processed
Ensure all periodic Balance Sheet reconciliations are produced to a high standard and are ready for review, ensuring unusual transactions are raised and dealt with in a timely manner.
