Manager, Public Relations & Communications - Europe

As a Manager, Public Relations & Communications - Europe with Hines, you will raise the firm’s successful media exposure to new heights, expand a platform of existing journalist relationships and work with tenacity to proactively place European and global leaders in key industry stories. The ideal candidate will be a passionate PR expert who demonstrates a successful track record with strong media connections – preferably in areas such as commercial real estate and investment management. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Generate and execute strategic public relations strategies and campaigns
• Review and edit press releases in coordination with our retained PR agencies, taking them through our internal approval channels
• Build strong relationships with key industry journalists
• Work with PR agencies to review editorial calendars and coordinate strategic story pitches to key media outlets
• Assist in coordinating the firm's Speaker's Bureau
• Develop compelling marketing communications in line with our tone of voice
• Identify and develop internal communications to engage and inform our people
• Manage special projects as assigned

Minimum Requirements include:

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, English or related field from an accredited institution
• Five or more years of public relations/communications experience; agency experience a plus
• Knowledge of commercial real estate and investment management preferred
• Excellent creative and technical writing skills
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment and accomplish shared objectives
• Self-starter with the ability to manage and prioritize projects with minimal supervision
• Interact with senior leaders, project teams and team members with knowledge and diplomacy
• Strong team player and self-starter; taking initiative to solve problems
• Ability to work under pressure and manage and prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
• Ability to travel occasionally
• European languages a plus
