WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
Working within Defence & Security and with a range of Public Sector businesses, as a Solution Architect you will lead on delivery, assurance and advisory services, working with CxO level clients, using innovation to overcome their most complex, technical challenges.
WHAT DO I NEED?
Essential skills you will have:
·A consistent track record in providing technical leadership in areas including application, business, and integration architectures
·A deep knowledge of the technologies you have worked with and an appreciation or exposure to emerging technologies and architectural trends
·Ability to manage own time effectively with competing demands and time-critical schedules, prioritising project work, internal capability work, and business development activities
·Stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence and persuade at all levels of staff seniority
·Experience of demonstrating the benefits and draw-backs of solution options such as cloud vs on premise solutions, product selection, security or management options
·The ability to deliver strategic thinking to stakeholders through roadmaps, mentoring and technical thought leadership
·Knowledge of formal architectural tools and methodologies e.g. TOGAF, NAF, ArchiMate
Useful if you also have:
·Previous management consulting experience
·Experience of cloud products, cloud architectures, and services from current cloud vendors, e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Azure
·Experience working with integration platforms e.g. Dell Boomi, MuleSoft
·Understanding SOA webservices, APIs and microservices design
·Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
·Understanding of GDS Technology Code of Practice and Service Standards
Typical roles previously held might include:
·Lead or Principal Architect on £MM programmes
·(Senior) Solution Architect on key workstreams of £MM programme
·Principal or Domain Architect for given area of expertise
·Enterprise (IT) Architect
·Technical Design Authority
Due to the nature of some of the client work that you will be undertaking, you will already hold and be able to main UK security clearance
