As an Engineer you will be part of a large established, experienced national civil engineering team, with a base in AECOM’s multidisciplinary Chelmsford office. You will have the opportunity to progress your career through working on a diverse range of significant development infrastructure projects (across all stages of development), for a range of Clients. You will also have the opportunity to be part of a proactive learning environment within a wider national community of infrastructure engineers.
Job Duties
Undertake civil infrastructure design with appropriate training and supervision.
Understand and play an active part in the project assurance process, including taking part in technical reviews.
Provide a client focused service which results in on-going satisfaction and repeat business.
Build effective relationships within teams, across the organisation.
Take a proactive approach to developing your own skills and those of others.
Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
Minimum Requirements
Good communication skills.
A proactive approach to continuing professional development.
Awareness and understanding of BIM and coordinated 3D design.
A blend of experience in some of the following: design of highways, access roads and infrastructure of development projects including road geometry, public realm, earthworks, pavements, flood risk assessments, drainage and services.
An understanding of the corresponding relevant standards and design guidance.
Knowledge of drainage design from first principles, including piped systems, SuDS based systems and familiarity with storage design and computer programs such as MicroDrainage.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be working towards a professional qualification.
