Apply for this jobApple is a home for phenomenal people, the kind of people who use their passion, creativity, and resourcefulness to build products that change lives. It’s a place where you’re encouraged to be your truest self, a place where you can work on your life’s best work.
Join the team who made contactless purchases effortless, the ones who brought the simplicity of Apple to the credit card, the ones who most recently turned your iPhone and Apple Watch into a car key — and much more. Join the Apple Pay team.
We partner with organisations across the world to bring products like these to our customers. And to help make this happen, we write and deliver clear and concise user documentation. That’s where you come in. Key qualifications: Strong command of the English language.
Experience writing and structuring user documentation for a technical audience.
Ability to optimally communicate and collaborate with a broad group of people, including engineers, project managers, business stakeholders, and third-party partners.
Knowledge of Markdown, JSON, YAML, or similar languages.
Dedication to solving problems and sharing solutions.
Passion for quality, design, and user experience. As part of the team, you’ll help Apple Pay engineers write beautiful user documentation for both internal and external audiences. You’ll collaborate with them to build easy-to-understand API references, integration guides, message sequence diagrams, and everything in between. You’ll also help consolidate, coordinate, and improve existing documentation.
In addition, you’ll get the opportunity to write more creatively. For example, you could write the copy that introduces our technology to both business and technical audiences who want to integrate their systems with Apple Pay.
Some of these documents conform to the OpenAPI Specification (OAS). And most of them are stored centrally in a secure and private GitHub environment. Therefore, knowledge of the standard and these technologies is a plus.
And if you want to help build or define the roadmap for the tools we use to deliver our documentation, there’s an opportunity for that too.Apply for this job
