FIX Onboarding - FIX Protocol, trade support
This is currently a work from home position / remote working but offices based in London. This contract has a strong possibility of being extended.
An excellent contract role has arisen for a FIX on boarder / integration with a well-established provider of trading solutions. My client is a leading provider of capital market data, trade matching and regulatory reporting services to the global securities market.
The primary responsibility of this role is to work with IT personnel at broker-dealers and institutional clients to help them integrate their front-office, mid-office and back-office technology systems to ia Application Programming Interfaces (API), working with the applicable external IT personnel to assist migrating onto a new connectivity solution.
Knowledge/Experience – (FIX Onboarding, FIX Protocol, trade support)
- Ideally 3 years’ + experience in a development, trade support, integration or business analyst role working with FIX Protocol.
- Experience and thought leadership in certification is highly desirable. Specifically, automation of certification procedures and installing self-service tools in order to produce operational efficiencies.
- FIX protocol experience a must.
- Ideally FIX Onboarding, FIX Protocol, trade support – experience
- Experience with XML (DTD, schemas), TCP/IP & networking fundamentals.
- Good working knowledge of Unix/Linux operating system including user commands, scripting etc
- RDBMS skills (SQL Server and/or Oracle) – ability to read, write and run SQL scripts

- Ideally a degree from a recognised university

- This is a very externally focused technical role. Candidates must be articulate, have a strong client orientation and show a high sense of urgency towards client demands/needs.
