HR Director

CMA Recruitment Group is delighted to be working in partnership with a Portsmouth based dynamic fast paced business to secure an HR Director to lead the people function in the next development of the businesses strategy and growth.

Reporting to the CEO, this is a board level position, with a high degree of autonomy, developing and embedding the strategic people plan to effectively shape and set up the people function for future growth and contribute to the effective delivery of the business' strategic objectives.

The HR Director oversees a global HR function which has a presence in all locations, and through the global team they will deliver results to attract and retain top talent, improve the retention and development of employees and leading HR transformation to achieve business objectives.

What will the role involve?

• Design, deliver and implement the HR strategy for the organisation, to include talent management and succession planning, employee engagement and retention, reward and recognition, recruitment, employee relations, employer brand reputation, organisational design, learning and development;
• Deliver strategic, performance driven, innovative leadership across the business;
• Develop the recruitment and on-boarding strategy to recruit and retain top talent within both the UK and USA markets;
• Provide guidance and coaching to leaders to effectively manage all aspects of people leadership and create high performing teams;
• To deliver and champion effective HR change management activities for the organisation;
• Instil a continuous learning culture to promote employee growth, capability and organisational performance.

Suitable Candidate:

• Experience in a business that has been through rapid and large scale growth, both in headcount and financial aspects;
• Experience in building an HR function from the ground up covering all areas to include - learning and development, talent and recruitment and business partnering;
• Experience of implementing all HR processes and systems would also be beneficial.
