John Crane is looking for a Regional Service OPS Manager with effective leadership at using proven methods and cutting-edge technology to successfully cut costs, streamline operations and increase productivity. Strategically Manage the service side of the business and drive Operational Excellence.

Extensive Commercial experience of maximizing productivity within teams, develop people and to create growth opportunities. A natural leader with extensive management track record, a forward-thinking intelligence to continuously generate plans and strategies for identifying and improving quality and service levels across the region.

The position can be based at any of our European facilities.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Implement standard operations throughout Europe service center network to improve quality and service levels
  • Lead, guide, evaluate, and develop a team of senior managers with operational responsibilities to ensure that the organization achieves its business objectives and complies with all relevant regulations and laws.
  • Deliver the financial and headcount targets in line with the European annual Business plan and medium-term Strategic growth plans
  • Drive year on year efficiency improvement plans for Europe service.
  • Support the regional service center network and the super service centers in Europe
  • Ensure implementation of the global Standard operations within the Service center network in Europe to improve quality and service levels
  • Direct the preparation of operating budgets and proposals for capital expenditure and investments in infrastructure, technology, equipment, systems, or other assets and resources; analyze and approve operational investments that best meet the organization's business needs
  • Support supply chain and Inventory strategy for Europe
  • Ensure QHSE for Europe
  • Liaise and support Global Operations with strategic objectives and initiatives.
  • Develop robust succession plans for Europe Service operations in conjunction with the regional GMs
  • Develop and drive lead time improvement plans
  • Manage the Europe centers (MRP Planning, procurement and master data, Wet and Dry gas seal service center, Manufacturing)
  • Further build on the existing sales and service repair strategy to meet the needs of the Region.
  • Review the performance of subordinates; identify training needs, drive the use of Personal Development.
  • Work closely with the Group to ensure that the principles, practices, and protocols through which, and by which, John Crane will be managed globally, are fully adopted within his area of responsibility.
  • Identify and manage all business risks in Operations
  • Effectively manage relationships with internal and external customers and all other stakeholders.

The Individual
  • Extensive years of professional experience in Operations, and Service Center Management.
  • Experience working in European countries
  • Experience specific to the Oil and Gas Industry in Europe
  • Proven track record in a complex technical/commercial environment.
  • Techno/Commercial profile with strong experience within rotating equipment (pumps, turbomachinery, mechanical seals, etc.)
  • Ability to influence and establish new relationships as well as strengthen existing relationships
  • Strong understanding and experience of driving efficiency improvement plans for Europe service and manufacturing.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives
