SSB ARCHITECH LTD looking for a Bigdata Technical Lead

with experience in Bigdata,Hadoop and Scala to join our growing team. The successful Bigdata Technical Lead will have a strong technical background and keeping up with new technological advances.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing, creating, modifying, and integrating computer applications software
• Develop proof of concepts & critical software application components
• Establish and maintain solid software engineering practices across scoping/planning, development, testing, release and sustenance.
• Develop and maintain a strong relationship with IT partners, and software vendors
• Prepare project execution plans and ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, meet requirements, and achieve objectives
• Coordinate with project managers in our team and across the firm to build new platforms to drive our business forward
• Interact with various customers, clients, system users and senior leaders.
• Planning and designing a project and proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action
• Following and inputting to the defined and repeatable project life cycle that allows full control of multiple projects in the form of a programme.
• Engaging with project stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered according to the agreed requirements and that end users are involved in testing and trained.
• Maintain responsibility for customer satisfaction and build long-term relationship with key customers
• Manage solution design changes introduced by requirement and technical discoveries
• Understand user stories and non-functional requirements to propose an end-to-end component architecture
• Extensive working level business and systems knowledge in a global organization; involved with Enterprise level needs and vision
• Collaborate with area architect to confirm alignment, execute architecture reviews, and reduce technical debt.
• Develop and maintain requirements, system documentation including technical specifications, and application components

Required Education

· Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience

Skills

· Knowledge of Project and Software Development Life Cycle Methodologies

• Working experience with cloud solutions
• Experience in AWS/Azure and Google Cloud
• Hands-on technical experience with the core Hadoop ecosystem.
• Experience with the Hadoop and related components- Kafka, HBase, Kylin, Spark, Hive
• Good experience in SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with Public Cloud -AWS, Google Cloud OR Azure
• Strong Linux/Unix background
• Strong development experience in database systems such as Oracle, Hadoop, HANA, & SQL Server
• Proven coding experience with Python and Scala
• Experience leading a team in a technical or line management capacity
• Experience with relational databases and SQL
• Experience working in in an Agile Scrum environment

· Strong knowledge within the Spark ecosystem.

· Ability to manage multiple projects through to successful delivery.

· Identify best practices to recommend streamlined enterprise, IT and business operation solutions

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
