This is an exciting opportunity to work for a reputable Automotive supplier with an great reputation in the market and an enviable customer base. The business offers a flexible and attractive package, training and development and the opportunity to meet customers internationally.

Reporting to the Sales Director you will Manage the business's numerous European Automotive accounts, striving to grow these and also identify new business opportunities. You will also manage a small team and their performance.

This role is office based so will require you to be based in a commutable distance from Preston when not on the road with customers.

The Role

Responsibilities include:

• Develop the business with international based OEM Automotive customers

• Report on customer's expectations and opportunities

• Achieve progress in the further establishment of suppliers at customer through -

1. Supplier registration

2. Win interest of the customer

3. Understand the customers engineering needs

4. Support technical and quality audits from a sales perspective

5. Get RFQ's

6. Provide attractive quotations

7. Present product concepts

8. Create cost breakdowns

9. Ultimately win orders

10. Commercial follow up of development projects

• Manage a team of Account Manager's covering multiple OEM customers

• Cash management with customer

The Person

We are looking for either an established Sales Manager or an Account Manager capable of stepping in to an Sales Management role.

Essential -

• A minimum of 4 years experience in Sales within a manufacturing environment (unfortunately candidates with aftersales, dealership or telesales experience will not be considered)

• Ability to work self-motivated, independent and in international reporting line

• A natural seller with strong Sales skills

• A persuasive, motivating and winning personality

• Competent in creating and holding professional presentations with demanding customers

Preferable -

• Experience managing teams through KPI's and performance management reviews

• Automotive supply experience

• Technical engineering experience - able to read CAD drawings

• A second language - ideally German, French, Italian or Spanish

This role is situated Preston and commutable from most locations in the North West.
