Our Traffic Modelling team based in our Croydon office are looking to recruit an experienced and analytical Traffic Modeller to help the team grow further. This is an exciting opportunity for you to join a strong and accomplished Traffic team and to work on leading modelling projects which are at the forefront of the industry.

This experienced Traffic Modeller will join the Croydon team which is embedded into the 100+ professional Transportation team in the town centre office.
Examples of these traffic projects include TfL's Cycleway 10, and the upgrading of large sections of the A1 and M1 in the Midlands.
The Traffic Modelling team primarily works in micro-simulation projects, providing both breadth and depth expertise within the following areas:
- model development (including calibration and validation);
- operational modelling and traffic signal co-ordination (including multi-modal junction optioneering and assessment); and
- statistical and data analysis
Strongly driven by innovation and committed to deliver high-quality work, the Traffic Modelling team works with state-of-the-art techniques, using programming languages for data analysis and model development. The Traffic Modelling team also offers a wider understanding of the transportation problem, providing strong mesoscopic capabilities and guidance.
- Strong knowledge and experience in operational modelling in VISSIM and LinSig (experience in VMAP and LMAP processes would be a particular advantage)
- Strong data analysis skills (experience in Python/VBA programming or big data techniques would be a particular advantage)
- Strong technical and report writing skills
- A BSc in a numerate subject or an BEng in Civil Engineering or related subject
