Care Home - Support Workers

At Sahara Lodge and Gardens we are passionate about supporting adults with a range of complex needs including learning disabilities, autism, acquired brain injuries and physical disabilities. We’re seeking to recruit Support Workers (permanent and bank staff: full-time or part-time), who are able to encourage a workplace culture based on respect and dignity for those in need of care and support.

You will be part of the team supporting people with a range of personal care and social needs. You will support service users and provide meaningful choice and support to those in need of care and support to help them lead the life they want. You will ensure that service users have choice and control and that care is offered in a person-centred way. We’re looking for people who will instil a culture of continuous improvement, through dialogue with people who need care and support and their carers.

You will be able to demonstrate experience of working with people or the right values we need and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience working within the learning disability sector would be desirable as would a relevant NVQ/QCF qualification, although if you have the right values for Sahara Care, you will be supported by a programme of continuous training and development.
