Our client are a leading video games distributor and online retailer, focussing on selling gaming hardware and video games software worldwide through its own B2C eCommerce platform globally. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast moving, successful and growing online business within the video games sector.
They are currently looking for an Operations Manager to join the team to manage the operations and logistics of all their online sales globally. You will be responsible managing the relationship with their existing 3rd party fulfilment centre and to find an alternative vendor if you do not believe they can deliver the service levels required.
The role requires a hands on style, with 3+ years' experience in operations management in an ecommerce environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To ensure successful delivery of all ecommerce orders to customers, at the correct shipping price and at the right time. You will be trusted and encouraged to manage however you see this fit and to work with either our existing or your own selected partner.
- Define and manage the logistics process including inbound, outbound, returns etc across UK, EU and US
- You will be responsible for managing our existing supplier network and developing a roadmap of product introduction on a global scale
- You'll be responsible for monitoring and improving performance and delivery logistics globally
- Analyse, report and optimise costs for fulfilment, packaging and delivery
- Stay ahead of changes in the landscape and work closely with the ecommerce manager to ensure customers are informed of changes in timings/shipping terms
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- 3 years minimum experience in operations
- Project management experience - comfortable working on the day to day as well as on specific projects
- Commercially aware - comfortable managing costs
