The Investor Relations Manager is responsible for the execution of the IR strategy which includes the preparation of results’ materials; communication of key messages to analysts, shareholders and other market participants; and support for Senior Management.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance or investor relations manager to participate on the end-to-end delivery of IR services within an established FTSE 250 investor relations team, reporting to the Deputy Head of Investor Relations.
Draft high-quality materials for results announcements, presentations and other events, including regulatory announcements and supporting materials. Support Senior Management and the Board, including attendance at investor meetings, preparation of presentations, briefings and drafting of Board reports. Handle investor and analyst’s enquiries, ensuring responses are timely, accurate and consistent with agreed key messages and disclosures. Monitor share price, valuation and share register movements and report on these to the executive team and the Board. Conduct peer reporting benchmarking to identify themes and developments relevant to the group or its investor communications. Conduct ad hoc analysis on themes impacting Close Brothers and the banking sector such as new regulatory / accounting changes and other industry developments. Review and monitor investor feedback and analyst research, reporting the market’s views to the executive team and the Board. Monitor and maintain a robust analyst consensus. Work with the Deputy Head of IR to ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required. Manage the IR website to ensure it is up-to-date with recent financial disclosures. Monitor trends in online shareholder communication to identify developments relevant to the group and IR. Support the Treasury and Finance departments on fixed income issuances and engagement with rating agencies. Manage the relationship with the key contacts in the group including Finance, Corporate Development, Company Secretary, Treasury Department and the businesses. Educate colleagues about the IR function and the views of external market participants. Present regularly at internal forums to raise awareness of the IR processes and activities, as well as market feedback on the Group’s performance and strategy.
