About the role and our team
Join our team based at Noble’s Hospital as a reliable and hard-working Registered Nurse in our Acute Medical Unit.
No two days are the same in our fast-paced and dynamic unit where all acute medical admissions are assessed with a prompt diagnosis and treatment plan. You will join a large, supportive team and have the chance to work closely with our multi-disciplinary team consisting of Doctors, Consultants, Nurses, Healthcare Assistants and Housekeepers to deliver safe effective treatment plans for our patients. We also have our own Pharmacists and Therapist on our unit.
We also look after an Ambulatory Emergency Care Clinic open 5 days a week in the afternoon, where we see patients on an outpatient basis and as part of your development you will step into this clinical role.
If you are looking for an opportunity where you’ll gain diverse experience of acute medical problems of patients and are committed to doing the best for our patients then this could be the role for you!
What can this role offer me?
By joining us you’ll be stepping away from NHS pressures and demands, as the Island’s healthcare system is similar but separate to the UK NHS.
There are lots of development opportunities you can undertake in our unit, including our rotational development Sister/Charge Nurse post, giving each of our Band 5 Nurses the chance to develop and carry out Band 6 tasks.
You will have access to excellent development facilities and support, including our on-site education & training centre Keyll Darree. The Acute Medical Unit supports learning and development so you’ll receive protected time to complete both mandatory training and optional courses made available to you. We also run our own in-house acute training each fortnight.
You’ll also receive a competitive salary with incremental pay progression and excellent holiday entitlement. We have created a downloadable document, Our Benefits - A Quick Guide; have a read to see what other benefits you could enjoy whilst working for us.
