Due to some changes internally we now have a new requirement for an Internal Sales Manager to join and manage our internal Commercial Intermediary sales team.
The Internal Sales Manager will proactively manage, develop and coach the telephone relationship team through outbound & inbound activity to improve colleague performance.
Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities
- To improve the sales efficiency and sales effectiveness of all colleagues within the team by implementation of formal coaching & development plans
- To effectively engage with internal stakeholders to formulate and execute key firm account plans monitoring performance
- Create a positive and motivational telephony sales environment by demonstrating appropriate behaviours and relevant telephony sales management skills
- To influence, challenge and feedback ongoing performance of above plans to stakeholders whilst demonstrating account engagement
- Ability to analyse Sales Funnels & KPIs, identify trends and execute agile contact strategies whilst maintaining overarching engagement plans whilst suggesting areas for improvements.
- Provide quality side by side coaching and sales training to improve colleague performance engaging with other key stakeholders within the function
- Engage with key stakeholders to set and manage expectations of team to ensure operational effectiveness
- Regularly review and articulate team performance to stakeholders, managing expectations using strong influencing skills to create effective strong working relationships
- To ensure the accurate and prompt maintenance of CRM records by the team to enable the facilitation of account and territory plans, and ensure that opportunities are identified and developed
- Be responsible for establishing, achieving and continually monitoring and improving SLA standards within sphere of influence.
- To constantly strive to improve the financial intermediaries/customer experience by challenging existing processes and practices and recommending change where appropriate.
- Deliver & document monthly 1-2-1 coaching sessions with colleagues to develop their knowledge, planning and regulatory skills ensuring these are continually enhanced and are fully up to date
- Champion regulatory standards across the team and ensure all practices support the delivery of TCF and the correct customer outcomes
QualificationsExperience
Essential
- Outbound telephone sales experience within financial services
- Able to manage and lead a team in order to achieve business objectives
- An understanding of compliance and regulatory regimes
- Exceptional relationship building & communication skills at all levels
- Strong influencing skills, objection handling skills and problem solving skills
- Strong planning and organisation skills
- Excellent Coaching Skills
- Positive attitude towards challenges and change
- Has a professional and mature approach to work and feedback

- Business to business / Business to Customer sales experience
Desirable
- Able to adapt quickly in a dynamic working environment
- An understanding of the retail and commercial secured mortgage markets including distribution channels
- An understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in the mortgage market
