Software Developer - SQL Server - MIS

Overview

We are looking for a SQL Server Developer to join the MIS Regulatory Team and help fulfil the crucial requirement of provisioning of data to regulators & other third parties.

A crucial requirement of regulated gambling markets is the provision of data to regulators and other third parties. bet365’s MIS Regulatory Team is responsible for building and maintaining real-time and batch reporting systems to fulfil this requirement. The semantics of third party reporting requirements often result in complex business logic to transform bet365 data models to those of the regulators.

These systems are currently implemented in SQL Server, .net windows services, .net web services, APIs and SSRS reports. The successful candidate will be responsible for the continued development of the department’s most critical systems.

Main Responsibilities

• Participate in the development and maintenance of regulatory submission systems utilising SQL Server.
• Working alongside other members of the team on multi developer projects.
• Assist in the continuous improvement, maintenance and housekeeping of databases and existing solutions.
• Responsible for implementing solutions in line with departmental standards, adhering to the development process.
• Responsible for the creation and maintenance of relevant documentation.

Preferred Skills, Qualifications & Experience

• Commercial SQL Server database development experience, especially in the field of database centric real time high volume software development
• Methodical with a high attention to detail.
• Relish development and support of mission critical software.
• Knowledge of SQL Server performance monitoring and query tuning.
• Experience of working in a team environment delivering high quality solutions.
• Ability to work to deadlines in a continually changing, reactive environment.
