We are currently recruiting for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our Operations Team based in Letchworth Garden City. This is a permanent, full time position offering a competitive salary and benefits.

As part art of Autoglym Operations, the Continuous Improvement Engineer will form a vital part of the Engineering Team, working efficiently and strategically to help achieve safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives. Working collaboratively with Manufacturing, Health and Safety, Buying, Distribution and Planning whilst liaising with Sales, Marketing and Technical departments, to ensure the customer expectations are met every step of the way.

As the holder of two Royal Warrants our products are used by enthusiasts and professionals and include customers such as vehicle manufacturers, major high street retailers, car dealerships, distributors, professional valeting companies and transport operators.

What are we looking for?

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or the desire to be trained in this.
• Strong previous experience of delivering Lean Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement activity and business change projects.
• Proactive development of engineering skills to become more effective and add value in roles.
• Excellent business acumen and ability to deliver plans which support strategic objectives.
• Demonstrable experience of delivering change in a complex operating environment.
• Experience in being hands on, providing training and mentoring across cross functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to implement major changes while focusing on customer led outcomes that drive business results.
• Experience in project management and in delivering capital projects within a manufacturing environment.
