DevOps Lead

Remote initially then based in the Cardiff office.

50-60k+ depending on experience & pension, private health cover, 25 days holiday and a range of other benefits.

We are seeking a Senior DevOps lead for a niche software development company that specialises in writing bespoke large-scale web-based enterprise solutions and products.

What differentiates them from their competitors is that they sign up to outcome-based deliverables with their clients.

They need someone who can lead the DevOps team to manage the DevOps team scrum meetings and current infrastructure, both in-house and the AWS hosted servers as well as introducing proactive monitoring for both load and performance monitoring of the production servers.

You will also contribute to the design, build and deployment of platforms and solutions that will drive the technical future of the business.

If you have experience with the deployment and management of large-scale systems and platforms and proven experience with AWS, for example: Cloudwatch, Autoscaling, SNS we’d love to hear from you.

Other skills that would be the ideal mix include:

Advanced Linux server administration and networking knowledge to include: iptables, IPVS, preferably RHCE certified.

Experience with configuration management and automation systems, such as Puppet or Ansible (preferred). Experience of working with DevOps toolsets e.g JIRA, Confluence, Github/Gitlab.

Experience with container technology, specifically Docker.

Experience of container management and orchestration, preferably OpenShift and Kubernetes Administration, troubleshooting and fault diagnosis of Linux based hosting systems

Scripting skills (eg BASH, Python, Perl). Proven experience using Python for System Administration and Automation will be advantageous.

Experience in Terraform

Openstack administration
