We have an exciting opportunity here at QVC, to make a difference and positively influence our operation. We are looking for a Global Product Pre-Shipment Inspection Manager (PSFGA) to join our Global QA and Inbound Logistics Function based in any of our QVC UK, Germany or Italy markets. Reporting to our Director of Global Factory Management.
In this role you will lead an established global team, ensuring a robust factory product inspection programme is in place for all the markets. The programme must support the business needs and growth whilst complying with QA risk assessment. You will bring fresh and solution thinking, creating a robust strategy. Living our guiding Principles, you will Be Brave, taking risks to Drive Progress and Do What’s Right by taking accountability for decision making. Interacting with other functions and the vendors effective communication is essential.
Some of your main responsibilities will include but won't be limited to:
• Develop / implement operational plans globally to achieve business objectives
• Manage 3rd party inspection company to SOP’s and service level
• Greater focus on stakeholder management and how this can contribute to the Pre-Shipment Inspections strategy: produce roadmaps that supports the engagement and roll out of her
business initiatives with stakeholders.
• Strengthen the business relation between PSFG/Vendors/QA in US and EU.
• Partner with the operational team to measure low performer vendors’ metric.
• To recruit, develop, motivate and coach employees to meet Qurate Retail Group expectations, identifying and encouraging individual personal development ensuring that all direct reports
receive structured personal development targeted at identified skills and performance gaps.
• Coach and develop direct reports to directly engage with stakeholders in markets to promote and advocate for PSFGA value added and strategic relevance within the global QA approach.
The following experience is required for the role:
Previous experience in Retail/Consumer Product/ Manufacturing sector
Consumer product operation environment, ie. Inbound, Shipping, QA, Product Inspection, Vendor Management
Extensive experience in leading a diverse team
Great Stakeholder Management
In addition to the above, the following knowledge and hands-on experience would be an advantage:
ISO 9000 Auditing
Lean Six Sigma
QA/QC (certificates or experience)
