Post: Highly Specialist (Band 7) Occupational Therapist
Base: Pindar House, a 22 bed unit.
Responsible for: The post holder will line manage and lead a Band 5 OT & an Activity Coordinators.
Responsible to: Service Manager for Line management supervision & Occupational Therapist (Band 8 or above) for professional supervision.
Hours: 40 hours per week

Overview of site/Ward: Cygnet Pindar House is our new 22 bed Neuropsychiatric rehabilitation facility for men affected by acquired brain injuries. It is a safe and secure place to aid recovery as well as offering those diagnosed with a progressive neurological disease, like Huntington’s disease, a caring and long term placement to support and help manage the progression of their symptoms. This service will be able to accept unplanned, often urgent admissions where a service user requires a safe place to start treatment at the earliest possible time.
As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide direct clinical care which will encompass OT assessments, treatment and management of patients within the service.
In this role you will assess, implement and develop an OT treatment programme according to service user’s diagnosis and identified needs. This will be based upon findings from assessments including associated risks, in order to develop treatment plans accordingly.
