As a member of one of the UK's largest and most diverse landscape practices, you will be involved in a range of large-scale projects, including strategic planning, major infrastructure, urban regeneration and environmental enhancement schemes.
We are looking for a team player who wishes to assist in the development of innovative, cost effective and buildable solutions in an environment that is collaborative, stimulating and challenging. The role would suit a self-motivated individual looking to advance their career in a dynamic team.
The team provides services ranging from feasibility studies, landscape and visual impact assessment, detailed design and construction on a wide range of contracts and also supports other AECOM business lines including transport and infrastructure. Our Leeds team is involved in a number of high profile projects with a variety of clients from the private and public sector. Our leading clients include Homes and Communities Agency, HS2, the National Trust, the Environment Agency and numerous Local Authorities, as well as leading contractors and developers.
We have an impressive portfolio of major national and international infrastructure projects. A selection of our current and recent projects includes:
- The design of public realm spaces within Halifax and Leeds
- Landscape design and planning for river restoration schemes across Yorkshire for the Environment Agency.
- Landscape and visual impact assessments for major infrastructure schemes including landscape management plans for the sites
- Long-term management of habitats at sites across the UK on behalf of the Environment Agency.
- Design codes and character assessments to support neighbourhood plans across England for Locality.
Job Responsibilities:
The appropriate level of technical expertise is required in order that the job / project accountabilities listed below can be carried out to the necessary standard:
- Produce or oversee the production of drawings and other technical documentation, with the necessary level of detail as required at various stages of development: strategies, conceptual design, detailed design and production information.
- Contribute to securing and delivering new work.
- Establish strong working relationships with other members of the landscape team and internal teams across the business.
Minimum Requirements
- Experience in preparing landscape detailed design schemes and preparation of tender documentation.
- CMLI or on the Landscape Institute Pathway to Chartership programme.
- Some understanding of project management, including financial control and reporting and programme management and ability to manage own budgets.
- Some understanding of producing Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment Reports.
