Service Desk Analyst, Middlesbrough, £21,000--22,000
A business in Middlesbrough due to continued growth is recruiting for a Service Desk Analyst/1st Line Support.
To be considered, you should have experience of working in a busy IT service desk environment and have excellent communication skills
Duties
- Provide remote/onsite IT support for hardware and software issues to SLA’s
- Ensure all incident/service request tickets are logged onto our ticketing system
- Ensure tickets are kept up to date with regular updates on tickets
- Keep the customer up to date with progression of tickets
- Look proactively at tickets to confirm a permanent fix
- Identify opportunities to implement improved solutions
- Deliver exceptional customer service and demonstrate the and desire to go 'above and beyond’ for our customers
- Share technical knowledge
- Carry out research, testing and development on imminent technologies
- Engage in ongoing training and gain technical qualifications
Required
- Have experience of working in a busy IT service desk environment
- Have confident customer facing skills
- Have excellent communication skills
- Have the ability to work as part of a team or on your own
- Use own initiative to make decisions and complete tasks
- Have a professional attitude
- Efficient time keeping
- Ability to prioritise work
- Flexible approach to working outside of normal working hours
- Full UK driving licence
With at least one would be preferred
- Relevant Microsoft or Cisco qualification (e.g. MCP, CCNA)
- Experience of Office365 and SharePoint
- Telecommunications experience (Panasonic, 3CX)
