About the team/job
We are looking for a Senior Graphic Designer to join the Communications team at EMBL’s http://www.ebi.ac.ukEuropean Bioinformatics Institute (EMBI-EBI) located on the Wellcome Genome Campus near Cambridge in the UK. You will report to the Head of Communications at EMBL-EBI and will lead design production and services for the Institute, delivering a range of products for diverse stakeholders across the organisation to various audiences. You will work closely with colleagues across EMBL-EBI and the EMBL design team, creating exciting design for both digital and offline channels within a strong visual identity and be the local design champion. The Senior Graphic Designer provides a vital service to the Directors and other groups and teams at EMBL-EBI, leading on all aspects of design for the Institute.
The Communications team aims to increase the visibility of the world-leading work happening at EMBL-EBI using a number of channels, including our website, social media, press, publications, events and more. We work with scientific collaborators, funders, journalists, teachers, students and other interested members of the public to raise awareness about how bioinformatics and big data can lead to discoveries that impact our lives. We are an international, friendly and supportive team.
The European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) is the hub for big data in biology.
