PURE Business Group was created to provide a unique, innovative and collaborative solution, to the Civil Litigation legal sector. Founded in early 2015 by Phil Hodgkinson and bringing thirty years’ experience within the insurance and legal sector, the group now employs in excess of 450 staff in four UK locations and continues to grow year on year.
PURE Legal Limited is one of our ABS Law Firms within PURE Business Group. Within our Law Firms we employ almost 200 staff, including Administrators, Legal Executives, Fee Earners and Solicitors. Their role is to handle each individual customer’s case to conclusion, as efficiently as possible to instigate and conclude court proceedings as necessary.
We currently have an opening for a Litigation Team Leader to join our Mortgage Mis Selling department based in our York Office. The team handles complex litigation and is extremely busy. As a litigation team leader within Pure Legal you need to be dedicated and motivated, with a focus on quality and a desire to deliver. You will report to the Operations Manager and be responsible for managing daily activity, performance and results as well as ensuring the team delivers first class service to our individual clients.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
·Prioritising workloads to ensure targets are delivered
·Managing system and process changes effectively
·KPI reporting and key task management
·Confident day to day decision maker
·Advising as required on cases to clients, other departments, and relevant stakeholders
·Training and staff development including conducting one to ones and appraisals
·Ensuring that cases are appropriately allocated, assessed, managed and conducted in a proactive and commercially-focused manner.
·Overseeing the progression and resolution of all cases in the team throughout the litigation process
COMPETENCIES OF A LITIGATION TEAM LEADER
·Inspirational leader of people and teams, with previous supervisory or management experience
·Significant experience of civil litigation claims handling from inception to trial
·Holistic approach to case management and strategy setting – seeing the bigger picture
·Good knowledge of litigation case management processes (Proclaim is desirable but not essential)
·Commitment to excellent client care and communication across all audiences
·Dedication to professional development of team and individuals
·Proactive and clear approach to problem solving
·Excellent timekeeping and attendance.
·Excellent telephone skills.
·Ability and desire to learn new systems – in-house training given.
·Attention to detail when updating notes onto database.
·Ability to be proficient at all times, ensuring correspondence such as; letters, emails and telephone calls are actioned/compiled in a professional manor.
·Effective use of Litigation Case Management Systems
·Experience of effective management of significant caseload from inception to trial
·Part 7 litigation experience
·Multitrack and fast track litigation experience
·Previous supervisory or management experience within litigated practice area advantageous.
·Knowledge of the industry advantageous.
·Personality and Tenacity essential.
