We are looking for an experienced Commercial Finance Partner to join our highly motivated and dynamic team based across both our London and Manchester offices.
Not only will you be the at the core of all things commercial and client from a finance perspective, you will also be be one of the few individuals within the business with complete autonamy across all of our divisons and brands whilst having a heavy influence in our commercial returns.
Be the first point of contact for client teams to help maximize commercial returns from their projects – supporting from both a pricing perspective but also being key liaison with our legal team to manage and mitigate risk in client contracts. Manage your team to plan, account and accurately report client job related financial performance under US revenue recognition accounting rules. Driven by a detailed knowledge, of agency client revenues you will be required to deliver analysis of business performance (revenue forecasting, utilisation, client profitability, trend analysis) and assist in planning, budgeting, forecasting and evaluation of business performance to explain variances. You will be expected to work in conjunction with the UK CFO to identify risks, strategic responses and recommended actions in response to business changes. In partnership with our Financial Control Team and Managing Partners, you will drive the design and delivery of succinct and insightful management information focused on agencies key performance indicators. Support the CFO in the creation of high quality and user friendly business presentations and reports both within the agency and to parent company stakeholders by effectively driving, co-ordinating and managing processes and individuals to ensure that data and information gathered is accurate, well presented, consistent and timely. Pro-actively and continuously review, in partnership with the project management and financial control team, internal reporting, planning processes to improve information flows, operational standards, insight as well as timeliness and accuracy of financial information. Focus on ensuring reporting functionality of the agencies management information tool is maximised not only from a finance user perspective but also from an agency users perspective, ensuring that effective financial and non –financial controls are in place to safeguard the validity of financial information produced. Be the key finance point of contact for the Operations Director and team of project managers to assist with driving process change and performance improvement from a client profitability perspective. Ensuring the business complies to US GAAP and internal control requirements around revenue accounting and reporting.
A qualified (ACCA, CIMA) accountant with at least 5 years Post Qualification experience in a service industry, preferably in a creative industry. Good experience of working in a multi-disciplinary project based environment working across a number of accounts at the same time. Outstanding interpersonal and networking skills and be able to build and maintain effective working relationships with your team, wider agency staff, peers and board members. Computer literate with recent experience of working on SAP based management information systems and a spreadsheet whizz. Experience of negotiating client contracts both from a legal and commercial perspective. As you will have oversight of a number of different projects at different stages of completion, you will have strong project management skills and a keen eye for detail. Strong team management and leadership skills – ability to develop and mentor people. Apply for this job
