The award-winning company to work for, AXA Health, is looking for a Telephone Counsellor Assessor to join our team of professionals who are dedicated to helping meet the growing demand for mental health support through our Employee Assistance Programmes and Private Medical Healthcare on a part-time (3 – 4 shifts per week, minimum of 22.5 hours) basis working from home. To provide our clients the much-needed care they need, our helpline is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Your shift pattern will remain the same, so you can plan around your hours. Shifts will include some evenings and/or weekends and typically start at 8am, noon or 3pm or 11pm for overnight shifts and usually last 7.5 hours.
Being a Telephone Counsellor Assessor is highly rewarding - you’ll have the unique opportunity to apply your therapy knowledge and compassion to give telephone counselling and support. Client depending, you may be able to refer therapy through either an Employee Assistance Programme contract paid for by their employer, or through their corporate Private Medical Insurance policy.
You’ll have the opportunity to assess customers presenting with a vast array of mild, moderate and severe clinical needs; from stress, anxiety and depression through to attachment difficulties, substance abuse, trauma and personality disorders. You may also help provide guidance to managers who are experiencing distress around their role.

As government restrictions ease you need to be able to attend initial induction and any subsequent training/CPD/meetings in either our Glasgow or Eastbourne office.
