As Legal Counsel for Europe with Hines, you will report to the Head of Legal for Europe and support a team of three Senior Legal Counsel, assisting with Hines' business and legal activities in Europe. You will advise on risks and liability standards in Hines' investment vehicles, including joint ventures, separate accounts and funds, as well as assist with real estate transactions. You will coordinate and provide guidance to external law firms to ensure all material legal risks, issues and disputes relating to Hines are effectively managed and controlled. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Minimum Requirements include:
One or more years' post qualified experience working for a major law firm with experience in some of all or the following:
Structuring and negotiating real estate joint ventures, separate accounts and funds
Advising on real estate, forward funding and/or forward purchase transactions
Advising on corporate real estate transactions
Experience working with Luxembourg funds and vehicles would be beneficial
Excellent academic qualifications
Licensed to practice law in the UK or other relevant European jurisdiction
In-house experience would be beneficial but not essential
Strong commerciality – i.e. know how to get things done within a fast-paced organization
Demonstrable organisational, problem solving skills, able to prioritise and work independently
Rigorous, detail orientated, flexible, versatile and with good people skills and ability to work in a multi-discipline team
Excellent oral and written communications skills and confident advising senior executives
Fluent in English and proficiency in a second language will be considered as an asset
