As Registered Manager, you’ll oversee and champion high quality care provision, meeting CQC requirements, ensuring residents are treated with respect and dignity and lead fulfilling lives. You’ll also be a strong and supportive leader. This means where behaviours align with values, and everyone knows what is expected from them. In return you will ensure high levels of staff engagement, with the necessary capacity and capability to ensure sustainable service provision.Our Ideal Candidate
You’ll have a relevant care related qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 4/5, Diploma in Social Welfare/Community Support). Equally, you must be able to demonstrate experience working at a management level in a similar (ideally elderly care) person centred care and support role within a registered care setting, ideally with evidence of favourable CQC compliance ratings.
And alongside that you will also have strong knowledge of and ability to apply the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2010, the Care Quality Commission (Registration) Regulations 2009 and the Care Act 2014/15.
About the House or Home you’ll be working in
Located in Kew, Richmond, Victoria House offers care and support to older people and those with mild dementia. The building has been extensively modernised and refurbished to provide high quality accommodation and care in safe and comfortable surroundings. A lift and stair lifts ensure easy access throughout the home, with a call alarm system in place allowing our residents to feel safe at all times. There is a facility onsite to park and charge mobile scooters
Facilities at our home include a library stocked with a variety of listening books and a hairdressing/treatment room for use by our visiting chiropodist and for relaxing massages and reflexology treatments. Mealtimes in one of our pleasant dining rooms are social occasions for our residents with all residents’ dietary and personalised requirements taken into account during the menu planning stage.
We believe that it is important for our residents to get together socially and to engaged with our staff. We encourage them to join in with the many activities organised by our dedicated activity co-ordinators from art and craft sessions, coffee mornings to day trips out to local attractions.
A happy, homely and caring atmosphere exists at our home where excellent relationships are built between our residents and their families and our fantastic dedicated team. Everyone supports each other and works well together to help enrich our residents’ lives. Through regular meetings with our home manager and up-to-date training, our team feel empowered to carry out their role to the best of their ability. Through daily interaction we get to know our residents well and always ensure that everyone, staff included, are treated with kindness and respect.
