Are you an experienced IT Security Specialist interested in helping to build the University of the future? Can you help us overcome the challenges of emerging technologies, new competitors, and changing expectations from our staff and students that are changing our world forever? We know now isn’t the time to stand still, we need to act boldly, be innovative and transform the way we think, especially in the realm of Cyber Security.
The Information Technology and Computing Service is at the digital heart of UEA and covers all aspects for IT provision for the University’s Faculties, Schools and Professional Services.
This is an exciting opportunity for four individuals who want to grow their security skills across Network, Infrastructure and Application landscape. Each member of the team will be responsible for one or a number of these areas.
You will have a degree (or equivalent qualification) and/or have equivalent level of experience in a directly comparable role, along with Information Security certification/qualification. Demonstrable experience of managing IT security monitoring systems (e.g. SIEM, enterprise log/collection, vulnerability scanning) is also essential, together with strong negotiation, analytical and problem solving skills.
