Closing date: Sunday, 25 April 2021
We are Hampshire County Council’s Police Recruitment team, and from our offices in central Winchester we manage the recruitment for Hampshire Constabulary ranging from Police Constable recruits, Vehicle Technicians, Police Staff Investigators, Specials, Volunteers, Detention Officers and all roles in between.
We deliver excellent administrative support in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing demands. This role is a busy but very rewarding one, seeing candidates through from their application, to assessment centre, and right through to their first day.
Hampshire is a large Force with a police family culture, which means that we liaise with Police Officers and staff of all ranks, as well as in-Force departments such as the Vetting Team, Scientific Services and Occupational Health, on the telephone.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for ambitious, friendly and confident communicators with a ‘can-do’ attitude who enjoy getting involved in varied work to join our team for a 18 month temporary contract. You will be just at home in the office or working from home assisting with queries, progressing pre-employment checks and completing ID verification calls.
Your first-class IT and organisational skills, eye for detail and accuracy will prove invaluable for managing your own pool of candidates through their pre-employment check journey and through to hire in a timely fashion, delivering a first-class service to the customer.
You will be comfortable using your initiative and working as part of a team to achieve the ultimate goal of creating a positive recruitment journey for both candidates and managers alike.
What can we offer you?
We can offer development opportunities not only in the Police recruitment team but in the wider Resourcing Department which serves a number of Councils as well as Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to develop a better understanding of the Constabulary as a whole.
You will have access to a wide range of benefits such as competitive annual leave entitlement, local government pension, flexible working and season ticket travel loans. Our modern, award winning office building is located in the heart of Winchester with access to excellent local transport links.
