Badenoch + Clark have been instructed by Legal 500 Firm to help them recruit a Finance Director, based in Cambridgeshire. With the support of the Managing Partner, the firm's Members and your colleagues within the Senior Management Team your focus will be on developing a strong culture of financial understanding across the firm. Key areas of responsibility: * Provide strategic leadership and direction over the firm's finances, delivering assurance of the financial health of its operations and ensuring the integrity of financial information sent to the senior leaders. * Work with department managers to ensure that their business plans link to the firm's vision and strategy, ensuring they understand not only the financial performance of their department, but how they can impact positively on this. * Design and drive KPI frameworks that provide a clear insight into business performance. * Actively participate in growth discussions (including around acquisitions) with Members, providing input on financial and operational information, and specific projects e.g. due diligence or cost benefit analysis. * Take ownership for the firm's annual budgeting process and production of statutory accounts. * Liaise with, and manage, the firm's relationship with its external auditors. * Manage relationships with the firm's bankers and maximise value for money from our treasury activities and borrowings. * Be an active member of the Senior Management Team, reporting on progress against financial objectives and key operational issues, and taking a lead role in firm wide strategic projects which may sit outside of finance. * Ensure commercial controls are adhered to, without impacting on the strategic objectives of the firm. * Ensure the firm meets its regulatory obligations in respect of financial audit and accounts rules audit. * Support the implementation of new legal document management and finance systems.
If you are an established Finance Director, or a Senior Finance professional looking for your next step within the Legal sector this is a great opportunity in a truly forward thinking firm. You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and have significant experience from the Legal industry.
