Position: Support Worker

Location: Nottingham

Salary: £17,495 - £19,568 per annum (£9.07 to £10.14 per hour) plus enhancements

Hours: 37 per week, full time - Working pattern is largely Monday to Friday 9-5 however flexibility is required to meet customers’ needs

Closing Date: Wednesday 21st April 2021

Interview date: Tuesday 27th April 2021

About the Role:

The Community Support Team is a tenancy support service offering support to enable customers to maintain their homes and maximise their income. It’s a fast-paced service, where no two days will be the same, but it will always be rewarding.

As a Support Worker, you will provide help to tenants in order to sustain their tenancies and manage their finances effectively. You'll advocate for tenants when necessary by bringing in other support, care and health providers.

A day in the life of a Support Worker is quite atypical so time management is important. You will be visiting customers or supporting them over the phone – getting a clear picture of their circumstances and developing support plans to help them achieve agreed goals. You will be liaising with the DWP, Local Authority as well as national charities, trusts and funds. Beyond this you will be maintaining clear communication across all internal departments so everyone within the organisation is able to track the customers progress and shape their own work accordingly.

About You:

To be considered for this Support Worker opportunity, you will be proactive, reliable and passionate about improving the lives of others. You will need an understanding of maximising tenant income and applying for welfare benefits. A good understanding of housing related support and experience of working with vulnerable people is also required.

If you think you can bring enthusiasm, positivity and most importantly a big smile to someone’s face, we want to hear from you.

In Return:

Here are just some of the ways that our client can reward you:

  • c36.5 days leave a year with additional 2 days after 5 years’ service
  • Healthcare Cash Back Plan worth up to £875 per year on your routine healthcare costs e.g. Dentist, opticians etc.
  • Company Pension Scheme options with contributions matched by employer and includes life assurance cover
  • Enhanced maternity/paternity/adoption pay
  • Free enhanced DBS check where applicable
  • £250 for successful referral of a friend/family member
  • Employee Recognition Scheme
  • Great learning & development and qualification opportunities
  • Discounted bus passes and gym membership, discounts and cashback at major retailers
  • Free access to employee Advice Line; offering a 24-hour confidential advice service to discuss work or home related concerns with professional advisors
  • Overtime available

Other roles you may have experience of could include: Support Worker, Home Carer, Care Worker, Health Care Assistant, Support Worker, Nurses, Social Care Worker, Care Assistant, Mental Health Care Worker, Voluntary Worker.
