About the Role:
The Community Support Team is a tenancy support service offering support to enable customers to maintain their homes and maximise their income. It’s a fast-paced service, where no two days will be the same, but it will always be rewarding.
As a Support Worker, you will provide help to tenants in order to sustain their tenancies and manage their finances effectively. You'll advocate for tenants when necessary by bringing in other support, care and health providers.
A day in the life of a Support Worker is quite atypical so time management is important. You will be visiting customers or supporting them over the phone – getting a clear picture of their circumstances and developing support plans to help them achieve agreed goals. You will be liaising with the DWP, Local Authority as well as national charities, trusts and funds. Beyond this you will be maintaining clear communication across all internal departments so everyone within the organisation is able to track the customers progress and shape their own work accordingly.
To be considered for this Support Worker opportunity, you will be proactive, reliable and passionate about improving the lives of others. You will need an understanding of maximising tenant income and applying for welfare benefits. A good understanding of housing related support and experience of working with vulnerable people is also required.
If you think you can bring enthusiasm, positivity and most importantly a big smile to someone’s face, we want to hear from you.
