A brief description of the main purpose of the role
The Marketing Manager leads a team of Marketing Executives to develop, implement and execute strategic marketing plans in order to promote our new product developments to new and existing customers. They also provide general support across the marketing department.WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
The key deliverables, critical for effective performance e.g. customer satisfaction, and a brief description of why it is important
·Coordination: coordinate efforts across Product, Sales and Marketing to ensure new features are messaged to best resonate with the challenges faced by our customers
·New feature awareness: promote new product features to best drive sales, through relevant content, partnerships and live events.
·Consistent messaging and performance: deliver reliable marketing performance through consistent messaging that can be tailored to specific clients/markets/channels.
·Team motivation: investing in the development and support of the immediate team, providing them with regular instruction, coaching and feedback to motivate them to do an exceptional job.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
3-5 major areas of responsibility with a brief description of the expected activities
·Motivate immediate team on a daily basis to deliver across their key areas of responsibility.
·Respond to and assist team members to resolve escalations or technical questions.
·Monitor the performance of the immediate team and support them to make improvements as necessary.
·Be involved in recruitment process for new team members.
·Regularly meet with team members to review performance, invest in their development and ensure they have clear tasks/objectives to deliver.
·Report to management with details of your and your team’s performance against objectives. This will involve a minimum of a monthly one-to-one session with your manager.
·Comfortable and confident in escalating and communicating to managers, senior managers and executive directors when appropriate.
·Effectively manage and monitor resource levels, and deciding on task priorities for team members.
·Coordinate closely with Sales, Marketing and Product to ensure that the benefits of new features developed are messaged to best resonate with the challenges faced by our existing and prospective customers.
·Plan go-to-market strategies, to build awareness of new product features and ultimately drive sales of new features.
·Coordinate regular Product update webinars in conjunction with the Product team to maximise attendance and uptake of new features. In parallel support the Roadmap development process.
·Coordinate (in conjunction with the Product team) the regular advisory group meetings, both in terms of supporting initial set up and subsequent meeting collateral.
·Support Analyst Relations activities, in terms of submissions, inquiries and regular analyst briefings.
·Maintain up-to-date competitive analysis of our products and how they are positioned within the industry.
·Liaise with external Marketing Agencies, as appropriate.
Campaign and Event management
·Set up and execute omni-channel campaigns across international marketplaces, as required, aligned with the go-to-market strategies for new product features.
·Organise events, networking opportunities and campaigns via relevant channels.
·Manage brand and communications activities e.g. PR, web and (video) content-projects.
·Support analysis of marketing performance data, looking for trends and improvement opportunities, and drive improvement actions.
·Manage budgets for product marketing plans, as required.
·Contribute to and coordinate the delivery of clear marketing communications showcasing our new product features, building relationships with other departments, as required.
·Coordinate the distribution of new marketing material and literature.
·Analyse market data/other business approaches in order to identify and tailor messages to specific audiences.
·Continuously learn about our products and services in order to fully inform content creation.PERSON PROFILE
Expected (E) or desirable (D) knowledge, education, experience and skills
Education & Qualifications:Specialised/Technical
Bachelor’s Degree/equivalent, or substantial alternative experience
Marketing relevant qualifications/memberships e.g. CIM
Experience in product marketing
Good experience of running marketing campaigns, including digital
Good experience of analysing campaign data to provide meaningful insights
Demonstrable experience of implementing performance improvements
Experience in data analytics
Experience of working with and improving a CRM or similar system
Experience of leading a team
Skills / Aptitude:
Good organisational skills
High attention to detail
Great communication, written, verbal and presentation
Good interpersonal skills, able to coach, train and mentor others
