As our Compliance Data Risk Manager you will support the Chief Data Officer, Head of Data Science and Player Relationships, Head of Insight Business Partners, and the DPO in developing and creating a forward looking compliance plan. This will cover the collection, storage, processing and usage of data and insights to ensure the Company is operating within agreed risk appetites, whilst complying with legal and regulatory requirements. You will provide assurance to the CDO and various governance committees on the effectiveness of our control environment with respect to data and insights, as well as creating a risk based data and insights compliance dashboard which incorporates the effectiveness of controls in high risk areas and compliance against our regulatory requirements.

How you'll make a difference

  • Lead and inspire data and insights compliance across Camelot.
  • Create and embed mechanics across the business to enable a forward looking, risk anticipating, Compliance Function for the collection, storage, processing and usage of data and insights.
  • Work closely with the business to proactively mitigate and prevent risks identified from materialising.
  • Work closely with the Business Assurance Teams (Risk, Internal Audit and Compliance) actively contributing to the efficacy of Camelot’s risk registers and Internal Audits risk universe.
  • Develop and actively engage the Regulator in Compliance activities, schedule of works.
  • Develop a strong working understanding of Camelot’s procedures, policies and processes around data and insights.
  • Develop and then maintain a suite of second line control documents reflecting the range of the Camelot’s activity and oversight in data and insights.
  • Prepare reports and MI related to Data and Insights Compliance for senior management, management committees and for board–level committees including the Compliance Risk Committee, Operations Board and Audit Risk & Security Committee.
  • Regularly evaluating the efficiency of controls, procedures and policies in place for data and insights across Camelot and improve them continuously
  • Ensuring Compliance activities in data and insights across Camelot are supported by adequate documentation, peer reviews and quality checks.

What you'll bring to the table

  • Audit and Compliance qualifications and experience (which may encompass business administration, audit, finance, Corporate Governance, Risk Management, IT, BCP / DRP, QA, security and project management)
  • Have a strong controls and compliance background and ideally demonstrable experience of developing and implementing compliance/control frameworks
  • Ability to write reports to communicate findings and propose solutions
  • Able to lead strategy and deliver the corporate governance agenda to Camelot
  • Proven track record of building senior internal and external relationships.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Compliance Manager
  • Bright, highly analytical and intellectually agile, able to learn and manage complexity quickly.
  • High level of integrity and independence whilst also able to successfully partner with the business in meaningful ways through building trusting relationships and connections.
  • A strong collaborator, influencer, listener, to build consensus and a constructive working relationship across the organisation.
  • Excellent communication skills and executive presence, and ability to influence a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic mind-set.
  • Strong experience in business operations, along with regulatory exposure.
  • Demonstrate experience of leadership and operating at a senior level within Risk, Compliance and or Internal Audit.
