LGV Driver Apprentice Location: - Based at Castleford but also working in Hull (will be working in Hull through winter) Full-time Pay: NMW for first 12 months of the apprenticeship Working Week: - Monday – Friday 07:00 -15:30 (Saturday working during winter)

Working within our Distribution division, an opportunity has arisen for a LGV Driver apprentice who will work out of our Castleford and Hull depots. The successful candidate will work towards the following skills.
LGV Class 2 license FLT / Loading shovel licenses Trained on CPL computer systems to assist in administration duties at either site Health and safety awareness IOSH course Monday – Friday with Saturday working required during winter Must have a reasonable level of fitness Must be willing to work at either site as and when required Full uniform and PPE provided 23 days holiday + bank holidays
The candidate will work towards their LGV Class 2 license but will also have a good knowledge of all other tasks within the depot, this will enable them to provide cover as and when required.
The aim of the apprentice programme is for drivers to gain their Large Goods Vehicle Driving Licence and if not already obtained, their English and Maths Level 2 qualifications.

Must have a reasonable level of fitness Must be reliable and have a “can do” attitude Must be Customer Focused This apprenticeship is for a LGV removals Driver Apprentice & involves heavy lifting , loading & unloading.
