The Balance Sheet Product Specialist is an experienced professional with strong and proven data analytical skills, understanding of data flows between systems and project management skills who is able to partner with risk, operations, service teams, business and other stakeholders to ensure the timely execution of capital and balance sheet optimization initiatives. The successful candidate will need to be a self-starter, who can successfully work and lead in a team environment often under time constraints
Responsibilities:
- Understand liquidity & capital characteristics of Private Bank deposits and loan products and act as an SME driving product efficiency & optimisation
- Build and maintain product analytics (regular & ad-hoc reports / presentations / tools) focused on balance sheet products capital & liquidity metrics, in close coordination with partners across ICG, finance and treasury
- Support senior Private Bank balance sheet management with analytics for tactical and strategic decision making
- Play active role in the execution of key activities including CCAR, business planning, recovery & resolution planning
- Interact with regional product teams to ensure global coordination and consistency, look for opportunities to expand and enhance the existing product set
- Drive innovation - participate and lead development or change projects focused at capital/liquidity optimisation initiatives and/or meeting regulatory requirements
- Build productive relationships with internal partners including sales, finance, treasury, legal, compliance, technology and operations
- Ensure that all legal, compliance, and regulatory issues are fully addressed
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a similar role
- Experience in Treasury and/or Product Management beneficial
- Tertiary level qualification
- Customer service skills
Education:
- Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
Skills and Experience:
- Strong and proven analytical, financial structuring and execution skills
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent Excel & PowerPoint skills
Competencies:
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
- Strong initiative and interactive approach to problem solving
- Displays flexibility and independence in a demanding environment
- Comfortable in setting the agenda and syndicating support from others to execute
