We are seeking an experienced social work leader for the post of Head of Fostering and Permanence. The service delivers the fostering and permanence activity for Hammersmith and Fulham, Westminster and Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea under a shared services arrangement led by H&F.

The post holder will be required to have a good knowledge of the regulatory framework and be able to fulfil the role of registered manager. They will also need to be able to demonstrate experience of recruiting foster carers to ensure the diverse needs of the children from the three councils are met and have the requisite skills to ensure that the carers receive training and support to enable them to deliver the very best care for our children. They will also be required to build positive working relationships with the senior and middle leaders from the three councils, providing clear analysis of delivery for each partner and support permanence planning with operational leads.

To support you to do this you will be supervised by the Operational Director for Children and Young People’s Service and have access to clinical support to enable the service to continue to practice within a systemic framework.
