We are looking for a Voluntary Services Officer to realise the full potential of volunteer assistance available to our community care team in Demelza East Sussex. You will be recruiting volunteers and working with the care team to appropriately utilise the skills and expertise volunteers bring to the organisation, providing additional training and support where required.
You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels with infinite levels of patience and understanding. You must be fully conversant with all aspects of discrimination, equality of opportunity and diversity.
You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage a changing workload with demands from all areas of the organisation.
You must be confident in delivering training and presentations using a variety of methods, and be able to demonstrate competent computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
This role will involve some travel and flexibility of working hours, to include evenings and weekends as required. Please note this role will involve working remotely for a temporary period due to COVID-19.
