The client is a 17 year old boy, living with his family in Torquay, who sustained a brain injury in a road traffic accident when younger. His physical and learning disabilities are subtle. He needs support to develop confidence and competence in home and community leisure activities, with homework, general independent living skills, and with programmes overseen by healthcare professionals.
Previous experience, full driving licence and own car are essential.
An NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) or higher in health/ social care and competent IT skills are desirable. Applications from students of healthcare professions would be particularly welcome.
Term time: 8 hours per week (to be worked flexibly between 3pm to 8pm on weekdays and between 9am to 8pm on weekends by mutual agreement).
School holidays: 16 hours per week (to be worked flexibly between 9am to 8pm on weekdays and possibly some hours on weekends by mutual agreement).
£11.00 - £12.00 per hour This position requires a fully enhanced disclosure request from the DBS. You will also be required to register with the DBS Update Service.
