Apply for this jobJob Background: The Business Expense Transparency group is a global function with the mandate of optimizing transaction expenses and implementing best in class expense management practices. The team has a strong presence in NAM, EMEA and APAC and looks at all areas of the expense base including supply management, demand management, expense reporting, analysis and control, expense systems developments and data transparency. Key Responsibilities: • Participate in daily, weekly and monthly processes to ensure BCE expenses are in line with the firm's trading activity (General Ledger investigations, monthly accruals, prepayments and reconciliations). • Develop and maintain control processes to ensure expenses are accurately validated and reflect business economics (reconciliations, expense allocations). • Prepare monthly reviews to ensure segregation, integrity and accuracy of B C and E Balance Sheet accounts • Participate in project to develop enhanced accrual accuracy via integration of trade analytics system (VarCiti) into month end activities and reporting. • Support operating and administrative functions at the COE site in Chennai (including but not limited to BCE invoice approvals, new BCE vendor approvals) • Oversee Balance Sheet substantiation process reporting to senior stakeholders. • Participate in expense review meetings with Trading Desks, Business CAOs and Finance colleagues to discuss actual expense results against plan and historic trends. • Assist business stakeholders with resolution of queries relating to BCE expenses (new business model, allocation issues, incorrect billing) Qualifications: • Strong Financial Accounting background with experience in creating and processing timely accruals • 2+ years of experience with general Ledger reconciliations whilst developing and implementing robust accounting control processes • Strong communication skills necessary to communicate processes in an effective manner. • Detail oriented with a passion for maintaining standards • Proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, preferably in Finance, Business or Economics What we Offer As well as a competitive salary and consideration for a yearly discretionary bonus Citi offer: - 23 days paid annual leave - Award winning pension scheme, - Life assurance and - Private medical insurance with Bupa healthcare.
