We have an exciting development opportunity for two fixed term / secondment post (24 months) .The Mental Health Practitioner work across the Mental Health Teams in Kirkintilloch.
The post holders will work between the Primary Care Mental Health Team and Community Mental Health Team on different projects. Particularly with a psychological focus. The post holder should exercise full clinical responsibility and accountability for the assessment, treatment and discharge of their caseload, adhering to their professional guidelines and scope of practice. The post will have particular remit of leading on ADHD assessments, promoting physical health and wellbeing and the delivery of Psychological interventions across the teams. This will be with close supervision and guidance.
It is essential that the post holder is 1st level Mental Health Nurse. They should also have previous experience of working in a Mental Health setting with the ability to demonstrate a sound application of the core skills of the profession and their application within a mental health setting. This post requires PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland Check. The post holder must have at least 4 years post registration experience.
The post is based at Kirkintilloch Health and Care Centre and the shift pattern is 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. May include some evening work.
