Job Title:

·Senior Key Account Manager

The Role:

·The successful candidate must reside in one of 3 areas, Derbyshire, Manchester or West Yorkshire

·The Senior key account manager oversees the relationships of some of the company’s most important clients and develops opportunities with new key accounts. The candidate will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining long term key customers by comprehending their requirements. The ideal candidate will build strong relationships with strategic accounts, will be able to identify needs and requirements to promote the company’s solutions and achieve mutual satisfaction. The ultimate goal is to contribute to sustaining and growing the business to achieve long-term success by maintaining relationships, selling additional services, handling contracts, networking with potential new customers and collaborating with colleagues.

Main Duties:

·Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of existing major Accounts in UK. This will be 2-3 accounts with a turnover of circa 15 million euros.

·Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements

·Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives

·Initiate business relationships with new major Accounts in Europe

·Conducts market research to identify the market trends and accordingly strategize to enter into unexplored areas and capture the market through effective measures

·Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner

·Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams

·Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust (conflict resolution)

·Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships

·Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders

Personal Attributes & Experience:

·Ability to build strong relationships with all relevant persons

·Experience of managing blue chip customers.

·Positive, confident and proactive able to work with high levels of enthusiasm

·Attitude to outperform and deliver excellent results continuously

·Result oriented and action-minded

·Good business judgment/commercial acumen

·Strong negotiation, managerial and decision-making skills

·Know how to communicate with the people inside and outside the organization

·Skilled in a large number of computer applications used for database management, communication and reporting

·Resistant to stress and also efficient in handling problematic situations with ease

·Able to influence others

·A willingness to travel as and when required (in the UK)

Skills & Knowledge:

·University degree in applied economics, business administration, sales or relevant field

·Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Sales and/or as Senior / National Key Account Manager

·Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels

·Excellent organizational skills

·Ability in problem-solving and negotiation

·Preferably strong knowledge of Packaging business, customers and suppliers

·Fluent English and at least one other major European language are desirable

·Strong ability and experience to manage in a cross-cultural environment

·Being able to think long term – conceptual, and “out of the box”

·Ability to work successfully in a matrix organization

·Experience with CRM systems (preferably MS Dynamics)


·Up to £55,000pa depending on experience plus car allowance
