We have two exciting new opportunities for a Customer Development Manager within our Foodservice Division who is motivated, friendly, hands-on, and passionate about their role whilst offering excellent service and standards to our customers. The Position is focused on the development of new business accounts in Foodservice, with overall responsibility for the sales, profit, and margin for the new business growth plan.
Execute pipeline and plan to engage, bid and win new business opportunities by channel (Independents - Coffee Shops & Cafes, Pubs, Care and Education channels).
Develop relationship with accounts to get increased share of wallet.
Champion CRM as the go to place for customer pipeline development and onboarding.
Build relationships with executive chefs, catering managers, and owners to drive growth and menu development in accounts.
Target increased sales through new business wins and grow territory sales.
Drive consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning
Work alongside the management team in areas of operations, marketing and product & service offering to achieve the divisional business plan
Develop sales plans and targets with business development team and telesales to grow existing and recruit new customers
Work with Finance on the management of customer’s payment terms and manage new business to avoid any potential debt risks
Could be required occasionally to stay away from home overnight or attend evening events on behalf of the business
Will have access to a company car as part of the role and must ensure this is looked after in accordance with company policy
Key knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications required:
Full UK Driving Licence is essential
High level of numeracy and literacy is essential
Degree level preferred
2 years foodservice sales experience.
Ability to use logical and creative thinking to solve problems and make decisions
Commercially focused, capable of delivering results in a cost-effective manner
Competence in all Microsoft programmes
Customer focussed and understands the importance of this to the business
Demonstrates integrity, a strong work ethic and upholds the company values and principles
Extremely self-motivated and driven
Ability to inspire, motivate and build a happy and effective sales team.
