Full Time – Permanent – Up to £28,420 per annum, depending on experience

Who are we:

Celtic Horizons delivers estate services for United Welsh, including gas servicing, grounds maintenance, cleaning, repairs, and maintenance. Celtic Horizons was the first wholly owned subsidiary of its kind formed by United Welsh who have entered a partnership with Mears Group. Celtic Horizons care for over 5000 properties spanning over 11 local authority areas in South Wales.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for a fire door inspector to join our rapidly expanding team, where you will be required to assist with fire safety compliance, whilst carrying out accurate reporting and record keeping in accordance with Regulatory Reform.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out regular fire door inspections in accordance with current legislation, BRE, LPS 1197 and LPS 1271 and BS 9999
  • Carry out asset tagging of fire doors within the stock profile.
  • Maintain and monitor the asset register and fire door register, updating them in regard to repairs and non-compliance issues, including installation.
  • Plan and manage your own schedules/ appointments based on demand and needs.
  • Pre-inspect work and identify what repairs are needed, providing photographic evidence of findings.
  • Post inspect work that has been undertaken by contractors or in-house workforce and follow up any remedial works identified to ensure full compliance with the manufacturers’ instructions.
  • Ensure the relevant management teams are aware of any issues identified.
  • Assist the FM/Compliance team with administrative duties and undertake any other tasks as required.
  • Undergo any further job specific training, as required to maintain the necessary qualifications and certification.

As well as the above, to be considered for the role we are also looking for a candidate with excellent time management skills and the ability to co-ordinate with contacts, as working as a key member of the Team is essential. You will also have a good understanding for the importance Health & Safety.
