Our apprenticeship scheme offers a great alternative to higher education or university, allowing you to earn while you learn! You will learn all about the Financial Services industry and achieve a nationally recognised qualification whilst becoming a member of the Institute of Customer Service.
You’ll be working towards receiving a Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner qualification, which is the perfect introduction to the world of Customer Service. This programme will help develop your Customer Service skills and help you recognise the impression you leave on customers when fulfilling their expectations.
During your course, you’ll learn how to communicate effectively with our customers. Build a strong rapport with them to help them in their time of need and offer any services or products which will benefit them. You’ll learn all about Axa, our policies and procedures, we’ll equip you with the knowledge to deal with complex or demanding customer complaints, queries or requests. By the end of your course, you’ll have a customer-centric approach in all our processes and be able to influence positive change within AXA.
You will study for your apprenticeship with an award-winning specialist training provider, alongside developing in your role as a Customer Service Representative. The best part is, we’ll keep you on after your course has finished – promoting you to a full-time employee of AXA.
What you'll be doing:
You’ll join a busy and dynamic Customer Service department based in the heart of Redhill, just minutes from the train station.
As a Customer Service Apprentice, you will be responsible for providing the first point of claims notification, customer service, and verbal technical claims advice in accordance with our policies.
You will be providing our customers with excellent customer service in their time of need, providing efficiency and of course an empathetic ear. The nature of calls covers our two assistance areas home emergency and motor breakdown. We will ask that you advise the customer on the coverage of their policy and log the necessary details onto our system. You will also be liaising with our approved suppliers and contractors throughout the UK
You will undergo 4 weeks of training between the hours of 9am to 5pm. Due to the comprehensive nature of our training no previous experience is necessary. Once training is completed this role will move onto a shift basis of 35 hours per week across 5 days including Saturdays, Sundays and bank-holidays. Shifts will range between 7am and 9pm based on a rolling rota. Although this role is on a shift basis the rota can be seen very far in advance.

Entry Requirements: As well as using your great people skills, you will need to achieve (or have achieved) grade A – C or equivalent in Maths and English before your joining date.
